Dr. Victor Gallo, the founder of the Garden City Colorectal Group, graduated with a BA in Chemistry from Hofstra University.
He received his medical training from the University of Bologna School of Medicine & Surgery in Italy, where he graduated in 1971. His general surgery residency followed at Stony Brook Allied Hospitals, which he completed in 1979. Upon finishing his surgical residency, Dr. Gallo went on to complete a fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, in 1980.

Dr. Michael Gallo graduated with a BA from Boston College. He attended medical school at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and finished his studies at New York Medical College in 1999.
He then went on to complete his general surgery residency at North Shore University Hospital, Manhasset. After his General Surgery Residency, Dr. Gallo continued his training with a Fellowship in the Colon & Rectal Clinic at Orlando Regional Medical Center in 2005. Dr. Gallo has a specific interest in functional diseases of the pelvic floor, which can manifest with constipation and incontinence. He performs advanced laparoscopic surgery for those patients who would prefer a colon resection via a Laparoscopic approach.
